Although our website is still under construction, we will start our hotline from now on
Are you stuck indoors with the Corona-blues? Is the mere thought of finals week frightening you? Or are you overwhelmed figuring out your first semester on your own?
You are not alone.
All those feelings are normal and happen to most of us.
Sometimes, talking to a neutral listener can be relieving, and that´s what we´re here for.
We are the team of the Nightline Passau, a nightly helpline, run for students, by students.
Our main objective is building a completely anonymous, non-directive safe space for you, where we can listen to whatever is weighting you down, strictly confidential, and without judgement or pressure.
You don´t have to tell us your name and can remain as anonymous as you want to.
Our team of listeners consists of students, who have been trained in the client-based conversation strategies of Carl Rogers, and non-directive listening.
Our aim is not to find superficial solutions, but to listen to you and to help you develop your own strategies or -if need be- to refer you to specialists, that focus on the same topics.
As college students we think one of our strengths is that we might face similar challenges as you do, which helps us to understand what you´re going through.
Every Monday and Thursday, from 8pm to 1am.
We´re looking forward to your call.
